Call For Speakers - 15th Annual Pink Elephant ITSM Conference & Exhibition in 2011
Yes - 2011, as in 13 months from now. Not only are we confirmed to return to the Bellagio in February 2011 for our 15th Annual Conference, but we've already begun constructing the program. You might be wondering why I'm talking about it now when the 14th Annual Conference is still about 10 weeks away. Well, we had many potential speakers for 2010 who approached us a bit later in the day. We plan early, so if you have ambitions to speak at a Pink Conference - get in touch ASAP! We're always looking for new and relevant topics as well as new styles of delivery. The kind of topics which will definitely get my attention are: Using Social Media and web 2.0 in ITSM The need for Green IT and the opportunities it provides The challenges of managing the Cloud & mobile computing Security Management Project management & focusing on business results Leveraging the various ISO certifications And anything which addresses the basic skills people need in ITSM, from front line Service Desk to IT leadership. It shouldn't all be about the latest concepts and fads. At the end of the day, it all comes down to PEOPLE - the attitude & skills of the individual and the culture and efficiency of the team and the organization. Finally, if you're not a candidate to speak - feel free to let me know what topics you'd like to see covered. We have to make sure we're relevant! P.S. Being the CIO and Chief Marketing Officer I have the unique challenge of marketing IT services both internally and externally to my organization. I have developed some unique IT marketing techniques that represent the true value of IT services. I have spoken at Pink previously and speak frequently at ITSMF LIGs. I have been requested many times to present on this topic of creating, sustaining and marketing service value. I feel I am one of the thought leaders out there speaking that there are in fact 3 aspects to value creation, Utility, Warranty and Appeal. Yes, folks want it to work, and to be secure and fast. However, they want it to look good and be a pleasant experience. This is lost in ITIL and I have some great case examples that I think will be great to share with peers at the conference. There are also videos samples of my presentations on YouTube.

I already have the ITIL Foundation certificate and I am searching to go ahead for next step. I wanna to be certified by IT Service Support management.
Any Idea how to get this certificate and from where I can get information related if there is any online curse for it.

Not sure what you might mean by “IT Service Support Management”. There’s no certification with that exact name. The closest is the “IT Service Support” examination. It doesn’t result in any certificate until you also complete the “IT Service Delivery” examination - but pass both of these and you become an ITIL Service Manager. However, this is an “old” certification based on ITIL V2, and is being discontinued right now! The last courses are being presented this month.

Hi Darren,
Unfortunately the video was not produced from slides, so there is no series of screen images that would be easy to print like a PowerPoint. I guess this just means you’d have to use the PAUSE button a lot.
:(
Maybe as a suggestion you could have your team watch the video and then have a discussion afterwards about which statements resonated the most with each of them, and why. Just a thought.
