Arizona IT Event To Meet Increasing Demand For More Best Practice ‘How To’ Guidance

Pink Elephant’s ITIL Implementation Road Map Coming June 7 – 9, Scottsdale

BURLINGTON, ON – May 17, 2006 – Pink Elephant (http://www.pinkelephant.com), a global leader in IT management best practice education and conferences, is bringing the next ‘how to’ event focused on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) back to Arizona from June 7 – 9, 2006.  ITIL Implementation Road Map is an intensive, three-day program for IT directors and managers who want to learn how to apply the IT best practice framework within their own organizations.

Since the event was last presented in Arizona in 2005, ITIL adoption has quickly gained momentum across North America particularly due to its ability to support governance legislation, such as Sarbanes-Oxley.  ITIL is a compilation of books describing IT best practices that integrate people, process and technology.  In terms of legislative compliance, ITIL outlines the necessary controls that organizations should implement to mitigate risk, ease the burden of internal and external audits, and ensure overall business continuity.

ITIL Implementation Road Map sessions, delivered by Pink Elephant’s experienced consultants, provide the most essential information that senior IT practitioners need to manage the next steps of their ITIL implementation journey.  Topics include:

• Critical steps for leading and implementing process change
• How to conduct a process maturity self-assessment
• The ROI of ITIL
• Defining an ITIL enabling organizational structure

“Road Map goes beyond just ITIL theory – practitioners take away sample service level agreements, service catalogs, workflows and implementation plans that they can immediately employ when they get back to the office,” says George Spalding, VP for Pink Elephant and one of the primary Road Map educators.  “Attendees can also take part in one-on-one sessions with ITIL experts to discuss details of their specific implementation plans.”

The prerequisite for attending the Road Map is the Foundation Certificate In IT Service Management, attainable through Pink Elephant’s ITIL IT Service Management Essentials course, offered June 5 – 6.

For further information or to register, please call 1-888-273-PINK from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday or visit http://www.pinkelephant.com.  Both the pre-event Essentials course and the Road Map event are being held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.

ITIL Certification Courses Coming To Calgary

ITIL Best Practices Linked To Improved Governance, Among Many Benefits

BURLINGTON, ON – May 16, 2006 – Pink Elephant, the world’s largest producer of IT service management education and conferences, is bringing IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation level training and certification to Calgary from May 29 – 30 and August 28 – 29, 2006 with the ITIL IT Service Management Essentials course.

In Western Canada, Pink Elephant has already delivered this course to over 1,000 IT professionals across many verticals – largely from utilities, finance and government.  Sharing a long-term commitment to IT, these verticals are prepared to invest in process change initiatives and benefit tremendously from the ITIL framework.  One of the key motivators for ITIL adoption in North America is its ability to support governance legislation, such as Bill 198 in Canada (comparable to Sarbanes-Oxley in the U.S.) by easing the burden of compliance audits.

Most companies starting their ITIL implementation journey use the Foundation training as an entry point.  This training can be limited to singular IT departments within local/regional companies or span across an enterprise’s multiple IT divisions worldwide.

ITIL IT Service Management Essentials offers a detailed introduction to the concepts, terms, definitions, goals, benefits and relationships within the ten core ITIL Service Support and Service Delivery processes, plus the Service Desk function.  This course prepares participants for the examination leading to the Foundation Certificate In IT Service Management.  Advanced levels of ITIL certification are available once Foundation certification is achieved.

For a complete course description and a listing of publicly scheduled dates and cities for ITIL IT Service Management Essentials, as well as other courses in the ITIL certification program, visit http://www.pinkelephant.com or call 1-888-273-7465.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required.  Pink Elephant can also customize any of its courses for companies interested in an in-house educational experience.  By including an entire team in the learning process, benefits include cost savings and the ability for Pink Elephant to address specific needs of the business.
